Since 1973, Bill and Gill Grant have been at the forefront of promoting the exceptional wine attributes of Central Otago. Beginning with 10 hectares of land, situated on Dunstan Road in the Alexandra Sub-Region, Shaky Bridge Wines is now one of Central Otago's largest estate operated wine producers.

Since the first release of Shaky Bridge, our wines have received high acclaim from media, wine critics and consumers. As our success grows, Shaky Bridge Wines remain true to the pioneering visions of Bill and Gill. The desire to produce intensely flavoured wines that are a true representation of the Alexandra sub-region, continues to drive winemaker David Grant's production decisions today. With a simple philosophy of letting the land speak for itself, Shaky Bridge wines reflect the distinctive characters of Alexandra, Central Otago.

The Shaky Bridge is an iconic Alexandra landmark that reflects the pioneering spirit of our region, and provided the inspiration to founders Bill and Gill Grant to pioneer grape growing and winemaking in this unique part of the world, more than 30 years ago.
